Middle East / Saudi Arabia
ZATCA, Zakat and Fatoora — run as an ongoing function, not a once-a-year scramble.
VAT and Zakat compliance, e-invoicing readiness, and IFRS financial reporting for businesses established in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia's compliance environment has moved faster than most finance functions can keep pace with — Zakat computation alongside VAT, an e-invoicing mandate now in its integration phase, and IFRS as endorsed in the Kingdom sitting behind the numbers. Most of this is finance-function work we can run remotely; where a licensed local auditor's signature is required, we say so plainly.
We are registered for VAT but Zakat computation is still a scramble every year.
Zakat and VAT run on the same coordinated calendar, not as two separate fire-drills.
Fatoora Phase 2 integration is coming and our invoicing system isn't ready.
Integration readiness assessed against what your systems actually generate today.
Our financial statements need to be prepared under IFRS as endorsed in the Kingdom.
IFRS financial statement preparation done to a standard your stakeholders and auditor both accept.
We need a statutory audit opinion and don't yet have a SOCPA-licensed relationship.
We prepare the file to audit-ready standard and help you get to a licensed auditor's sign-off.
Our office runs lean and bookkeeping keeps slipping.
Bookkeeping, payroll and management reporting run remotely, on a fixed monthly cadence.
We're a Pakistani group setting up in Saudi Arabia for the first time.
Entity structuring and the Pakistan-side tax consequences, covered from day one.
What we handle in Saudi Arabia
We do not hold SOCPA auditor licensing and do not perform statutory audit in the Kingdom — the work below is finance-function work, not licensed local practice.
ZATCA VAT & Zakat Compliance
VAT registration, returns and Zakat computation run as one coordinated compliance calendar, not two separate obligations.
- VAT registration and periodic returns
- Zakat computation and filing
- ZATCA correspondence and query handling
E-Invoicing (Fatoora) Phase 2 Readiness
Integration readiness assessed against what your invoicing and ERP systems actually generate today, not a generic checklist.
- Fatoora Phase 2 integration readiness assessment
- Invoicing system and data-field gap analysis
- Coordination with your ERP or accounting-software provider
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Bookkeeping, payroll and IFRS financial statement preparation, including IFRS as endorsed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Bookkeeping and management reporting
- Payroll and statutory contributions
- IFRS financial statement preparation, including KSA-endorsed IFRS
Need a statutory audit opinion, or work that spans both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan? See the Audit Readiness Support and Pakistan–GCC Cross-Border pages.
How we work with Saudi-based clients
Most of what a Saudi entity needs on an ongoing basis is finance-function work — not work that requires a local licence to perform.
Where we stand today
MAC serves Saudi-based clients remotely from Islamabad. A physical Gulf presence is planned. We do not hold SOCPA auditor licensing and do not perform statutory audit in the Kingdom — where a local audit opinion is required, we prepare the file to audit-ready standard and work alongside your licensed auditor.
Middle East enquiries: gcc@mac.org.pk
VAT, Zakat, bookkeeping, payroll, IFRS reporting and e-invoicing readiness are all delivered remotely on a fixed monthly or quarterly cadence, coordinated to your own filing calendar. Where a SOCPA-licensed sign-off is needed, we prepare the file and hand off cleanly — see the Audit Readiness Support page for how that works.
Questions we are asked
Do you hold audit licensing in Saudi Arabia?
No. We do not hold SOCPA auditor licensing and do not perform statutory audit in the Kingdom. Where a local audit opinion is required, we prepare the file and schedules to audit-ready standard and your SOCPA-licensed auditor reviews and signs.
Where is the work actually done?
Remotely from our Islamabad office. A physical Saudi presence is planned but not yet in place — we're upfront about that rather than implying a local office that doesn't exist.
Can you handle Zakat computation, or only VAT?
Both. Zakat and VAT are handled together on one coordinated calendar, since they draw on the same underlying financial records.
What does Fatoora Phase 2 readiness actually involve?
An assessment of what your invoicing and ERP systems currently generate against ZATCA's integration requirements, then a gap-closing plan — not a generic checklist.
We're expanding from Pakistan into Saudi Arabia. Do you handle both sides?
Yes. See the Pakistan–GCC Cross-Border page for the structuring, transfer pricing, consolidation and repatriation work involved.
What if we only need help with one thing, like VAT registration?
That's fine — engagements are scoped to what's actually needed, not sold as a bundle.
