Our story
Correct is not the same as useful.
Muhammad Abbas spent the decade before founding this firm on both sides of the engagement — inside established chartered accountancy practices performing the work, and inside the finance functions of multinational telecom and petroleum businesses receiving it. The second half is what mattered. Most people who start an accountancy firm have only ever been the adviser. He had also been the client.
The reports he received were correct. Technically sound, properly supported, delivered on time. What they were not was useful. He would finish one already knowing everything in it, and still not know the thing he needed: what to do differently, and where the real exposure sat.
And he knew, from the other side, that the team had seen more than they had written. A field team spends weeks inside a business. They notice the reconciliation nobody can explain, the contract term that will cause trouble, the process that only works because one person has held it together for nine years. Almost none of it reaches the client — because the engagement was scoped to produce a deliverable, and everything learned outside the deliverable leaves the building when the team does.
That is not a failure of competence. It is a question of what a firm decides it is for. This one is organised around a single principle, and every structural choice follows from it: judgement present throughout rather than appended as a review, eleven disciplines held under one roof so an observation is not lost at a boundary, and a test applied before anything is delivered.
We add value to your business. Four ordinary words, and the only promise on this website we would rather be judged against — because it is the one we can fail. Compliance is measurable and we will always meet it. Value is harder: you should finish an engagement knowing something you did not know before, holding something you can act on, better placed than a technically correct file would have left you.
That is the standard the firm was founded on, and the one we would ask you to hold us to.
"Value was the word everyone used and nobody measured. I wanted a firm where it meant one specific thing: that the client keeps more than the deliverable."Muhammad AbbasManaging Partner, FCA
